A golden book for the Goldene Bar

The Goldene Bar in Munich’s Haus der Kunst is a work of art in itself. And its owner, Klaus St. Rainer, is internationally renowned and award-winning for his cocktail creations. This book, in which the bartender introduces the art of mixing, bears his signature in many ways.

His handwriting can literally be found on the separator pages between different cocktail categories, showing sections of the menu boards he writes on. And it is reflected in his original recipes and many graphic details: the cover shines in gold, and all of Rainer’s secret tips for various drinks are printed within the marks of matching glasses. The illustrative photos by Armin Smailovic stage the cocktails in style and convey the special atmosphere of the Goldene Bar.
